The most popular method of vivarium background creation. Uses easily available materials and works well for vivariums that are wet but don't have running water on them.

This background creation method makes a 100% waterproof rock looking background capable of withstanding moving water from waterfalls without erosion.

This is the most recently developed method of vivariuim background creation developed here at vivarium works. It uses a waterproof animal safe resin mixed with a material of choice to form a waterproof and strong foam layup material.

Drilling a drainage or plumbing hole for a bulkhead is sometimes needed. It's less hard than you think. Here is how I do it.

This is the single most important part to any sucessful vivarium. Without an automatic watering system you will not get moss growth.

If you plan it from the begining you can make your entire background drip water so it waters the plants and mosses for you.
