About Us

 Vivarium Works is owned and operated by Scott and Ruzanna Allen in Kingman, AZ. 

We have been building and maintaining vivariums and aquariums for over 18 years and have well over 300 builds behind us ranging from small dartfrog setups to large venomous snake enclosures. 

Between the two of us we have multiple degrees in chemistry, plant biology, medical laboratory science, and analytical chemistry.  So between our education and vivarium experience, we have an in-depth understanding of the biochemical reactions found in vivarium systems and how these ultimately affect the plants and system as a whole.

We started out in 2004 producing vivariums and selling them at local reptile shows and found that the majority of the reptile community wanted to know how to make their own cages/environments, but that easy to use DIY supplies to our hobby were lacking. So we began the long complicated task of making safe and easy to use construction materials that can achieve equal or better detail than most zoo exhibits.
