These rock textured backgrounds were designed to stick out and be noticed and are my most appraised designs. If you are looking for a background that will transform your terrarium into a realistic landscape, give your animals perches to climb on, and ledges to bask from, these are what you're looking for.
Each mold was designed to fit as close to the exact internal dimensions of the aquarium/enclosure as possible to avoid animals getting behind it or leaving a gap. This required the casting materials to be flexible to get past the plastic trim, something rigid backgrounds can't do. This is the most volume intensive and 3D background I currently make and was designed to fit into a Zoomed or Exoterra 18x18x24 enclosure. Some people have cut it down so it sits closer to the back, and this can be done easiest with a small handsaw or a very sharp non-serrated knife. This background was designed to be a waterfall with the water starting from a crevice in the top rock and then trickling down the rest of the rocks. Plant holes were added for easier planting into the background. This background will require a some extra material to be placed around the cast as it does not take up the entire back glass. GS foam/silicone/peat method works well to bring the entire design together and can be seen done to the areas around the mold in the pictures.
This background was designed to be a waterfall with the water starting from a crevice or hole in the top rock and then trickle down the rest of the rocks. It needs be glued in place with either silicone sealant or GS foam to hold it against the glass. I recommend placing the pump in front of the cast and covering it with rocks so it can still be accessible. The pump cord can the be run under the cast and over to a corner to keep it out of sight. Designed to fit into an Exoterra or Zoomed 12x12x12 or 12x12x18.
This is the most unique 3D background I currently make and it's one of the more popular designs. All colors look good, but I feel the white and the grey capture the original rock's look the best. Red can make a really neat red slate look if the proper red soil/sand is used with it.
20 Gallon Long Sandstone Background

This background is designed to drop right into a 20g long aquarium. The flex resin comes back filled with foam so animals can't get behind it. The rocks are from a native Texas sandstone and the brown is it's natural color, but the grey also looks really good. It does not take up the entire back glass of the tank so you can always leave it alone and see through the tank, or you can spraypaint the back glass of the aquarium and give a clean look. (Use 'flat black' spraypaints when painting glass, not 'gloss' or it won't cure well.)
